How does Swapfiets work?
Swapfiets is a bike subscription service. For a low, fixed monthly fee, you get a Swapfiets bike and ongoing support. If your bike has an issue, just report it through the Swapfiets app and we’ll repair or swap it. Our goal is to keep you on two wheels without hassle.
What kind of memberships do you offer?
We have two membership options: Flexible and Regular. With Flexible you pay a one-time joining fee and can cancel anytime. With Regular there’s no joining fee, and you’re eligible for free cancellation after the first 6 months.
Can I choose the color of my bike?
Our available bike colors depend on stock and may vary over time. If you're picking up your bike in one of our stores, feel free to ask a friendly Swapper about the available colors!
How does delivery work?
There are two ways to roll:
In-store pick-up: Eco-friendly and speedy. Pick up your bike at your local store, where our swappers will adjust it just for you and answer all your burning questions.
Delivery to your door: Less green but super convenient. We’ll bring the bike to you at a time and place that works. Delivery is only available in service areas.
What happens if my Swapfiets bike is stolen?
Preventing theft starts with securing your ride! All our bikes come with in-built double locks, including battery locks for our e-Bikes. Always remember to double lock your bike. If someone steals it (or you lose it) when double locked, you’ll pay a surcharge, depending on the type of bike. But don’t stress. In the unfortunate event that your bike is stolen, we’ll help you file a police report and we’ll get you another Swapfiets right away - so you can get back on two wheels in no time.
What happens if my Swapfiets bike is broken?
No worries, we’ve got you. If we can’t fix it in 10 minutes at the store, we’ll swap it for another bike. Use the app to report the issue, and we’ll sort it out. Emergency? If you’re in a service area, we’ll come to you and fix it on the spot.
What happens when I'm done with my membership?
Breaking up is simple. Cancel in the app (with a month’s notice), and you’re good to go. Loyal members can cancel free of charge after the first 6 months.
